Via the City of Estevan:
Boundary Dam Reservoir is the go-to lake for Largemouth bass in Saskatchewan. In fact, its the only place to go.
Due to the nearby power plant, the water is much warmer, which makes it possible for the largemouth to thrive. The lake, in some parts, never even freezes.
Summer is the best time of year to fish bass; however, anglers may ice fish for them as well.
Largemouth tend to enjoy weedy areas and even like to make their homes near the residential cabins, hiding in dock areas. They are most active at dusk and dawn.
We recommend using leeches or worms. Topwater bait works excellent and can be the best way to catch a bass with their aggressive leaps.
The Boundary Bass Classic fishing tournament is held in June of every year.

There are several access points to Boundary Dam, but the best is using the docks at Woodlawn Regional Park. The park has plenty of parking and amenities such as a cleaning shack and bay to wash off your boat.
